Delaney joins row over Braddan inquiry

A veteran politician has spoken out about the continuing row between the Department of Local Government and Braddan Commissioners.

Dominic Delaney (pictured) says he believes the public deserve the right to have their money accounted for.

A public inquiry raised questions about allegedly illegal pension payments - leading to a bilistering attack on Braddan Commissioners by Minister John Rimington.

However Clerk Buster Lewin says that DOLGE actually approved the payments in the first place - and that they have copies of the correspondence to prove it. He's now calling for the inquiry to be reopened to hear this new evidence.

MrDelaney now says he believes it's the duty of every member of Tynwald to get involved in the matter:
