TT - Disqualification drama in Supersport TT

by isleofman.com 7th June 2006
There was drama surrounding today's Supersport T.T, and not all of it was the course.

John McGuinness stormed to victory, twice breaking the lap record, taking it to 123.9mph.

There were some tough tussles between Ian Hutchinson and Bruce Anstey, who finished second and third respectively.

However, following post-scruitineering, Hutchinson's Maccadoo Kawasaki was deemed to be illegal, and he was disqualified.

It meant Anstey moved up to second place, and fourth-placed Jason Griffiths was given third position.

It was a bitter disappointment for Hutchinson, who was just 8.5 seconds behind the winner.
