Whale and dolphin watch

by isleofman.com 7th June 2006
Sightings of Basking Sharks are an exciting treat for those who love to look out to sea from the Manx coastline at this time of year.

But if that's you - keep an eye out too for whales and dolphins which are also seen here at this time of year.

A new website has been launched to log all sightings of the Cetaceans - from bottle-nosed dolphins to killer whales.

Project Co ordinator John Galpin says they need all the information they can get to estimate numbers in Manx waters:

The address of The Manx Whale and Dolphin Watch is www.mwdw.net. The number to ring for sightings of whales and dolphins or porpoises is 844 353.
