False killer whale sighted

by isleofman.com 8th June 2006
It's thought a rare visitor to the Isle of Man was spotted in Manx waters recently.

What's believed to be a false killer whale was spotted around the Sugarloaf at around a quarter to eleven yesterday morning (Wed)

The 20 foot long black whale was seen to breach or jump out of the water on two occasions.

When last seen it was thought to be heading in the direction of the Sound.

Anyone who thinks they may have spotted the animal, or anything which may resemble it, is asked to report their sighting to the Manx Whale and Dolphin Watch on 844 353.
