by isleofman.com 9th June 2006
Sentence on a 62 year old man has been adjourned by the High Bailiff for reports.

Keith James Simpson admitted drink driving, driving without due care and attention, failing to report an accident, and failing to stop after an accident.

Following the accident on King Edward Road, Onchan on April 5th at 7.55pm, the vehicle was found to have a defective handbrake and exhaust.

The defendant also admitted those two defects.

The court was told Simpson had a previous conviction for drink driving in August 2000. He provided samples which showed a blood alcohol content of 154 milligrammes.

The legal limit is 80mg

He was bailed until July 11th with a condition not to drive.
