The police issued almost 240 summonses for speeding cars and motorbikes during this years TT – four times the amount issued last year.
More police out on the roads, particularly on the Mountain circuit, as well as more time spent using speed traps, mean more people now face prosecution for breaking speed limits.
Inspector Richard Power says over the two weeks, police spent more than 150 hours at the sides of roads with laser speed detectors.
He hopes the strong action will prove a deterrent to others.
