New school for Ramsey

Plans for a new Junior School in Ramsey have reached the planning stage.

If they go ahead it would be developed alongside the Lezayre Housing Estate and Auldyn School (pictured).

Ramsey Commissioners has released land adjacent to the site which would mean a slight reduction in the number of units built on the site.

Director of Estates for the Department of Education, Richard Collister, says the new junior school had originally been planned for the Clifton Park site, but he believes the new arrangement will be of greater benefit to the community:
