A man who admitted having sex with a 13 year old girl has been jailed for two years by Deemster Doyle.

Brian Raymond Hill, of Orchard Park in Hull worked on the funfair in Douglas a year ago.

The girl and a friend visited the fair each evening and one night were promised a free ride on the Waltzer. At 11pm on June 5th Hill told the girls he couldn't get them a free ride but invited them to his accommodation, which was a vehicle cab.

The girl drank alcohol, then said she felt cold and got under a duvet. Hill joined her and the pair had sex. She told him she was 13.

It was some time before her mother was told and Hill was arrested in Hull last November.

Hill was excluded from the Island for five years, placed on the sexual offenders register for the same amount of time, and given a five year extension of his prison release licence.
