Air passenger numbers drop " explainable"

by isleofman.com 19th June 2006
Air passenger numbers dipped quite considerably last month at the Island's air gateway, Ronaldsway.

They went down by over 5%; however Airport Director Phillip Pain points out that thats comparing it with a remarkable 18% increase this time last year. These figures should be taken in context, he suggests.

The statistics now show that EuroManx and BA Connect, the two major carriers, are neck and neck at 33% each. Aer Arran has thirteen percent with Blue Islands, who have only just started services to Guernsey and Jersey, coming in at 0.5%.
