Waste tax unlikely

It is unlikely the Isle of Man will be imposing an extra tax on householders in the imminent future to remove household waste.

The UK is considering imposing an additional tax for waste removal in order to encourage waste reduction and recycling.

Stephanie Gray (pictured), the Manx Government's Waste Minimisation and Recycling Manager says it's not something which could be achieved at the moment:
