Manx tourism officials have been in Jersey to 'talk tourism'.

In particular, planned changes to Jersey's hotel rating system were discussed in the meeting of UK and Island tourism officials.

Jersey hotels move to a new rating scheme at the end of the year in line with organisations such as the AA. It will see the end of the island's own sun, diamond and moon rating system.

Overall the idea of the gathering was too identify how standards could be raised for visitors.

Currently the Isle of Man is staging its third walking festival, with 125 walkers attracted to the island's paths and highways.

The group also discussed restaurant ratings and facilities for people with disabilities.
