Tynwald questions

This month's sitting of Tynwald takes place tomorrow (Tues) and it looks like it could be a lengthy session.

There are a total of 48 questions tabled, 35 of which are for oral answer.

Topics include the Human Rights Act, the Closure of the Special Needs Unit at Jurby School and climate change.

In other business there are 43 items for consideration including a statement on the Braddan area plan, authorisation of a sum not exceeding ?36,000 for the provision of consultancy support for the investigation into the price charged by nursing homes on the Island, and the Select Committee report on Queen's Pier.

Political correspondent David Callister says he believes one debate in particular will be extremely lengthy:
