Treasury Minister wants a 'more businesslike approach' to capital spending

The Treasury Minister has admitted that overspend problems on a number of Government projects would not be acceptable in the private sector.

Allan Bell says the issue of better housekeeping on projects would have to be brought to the fore after the general election in November.

He says the success of the Island in economic terms has resulted in the feeling that the money would be there to cope with an overspend.
