TT contract dispute

The Tourism Minister has spoken out to allay fears next year's TT could be jeopordised by a dispute over contracts.

Reports have suggested a rift between the Manx Motor Cycle Club - which organises the races - and the Department of Tourism.

The MMCC's contract to run the event expired after this year's TT - and a number of changes are being negotiated for the future.

Minister David Cretney (pictured) says this is all routine - and he's confident both parties will agree on a new contract by the end of July.

He says contracts have always evolved to cope with new demands:
