Cameras for safety, not revenue says Minister

The Island will not be seeing an imminent introduction of speed cameras with the purpose of generating revenue, according to Transport Minister Phil Braidwood.

He was speaking to Manx Radio after confirming the decision by his department not to introduce a national speed limit.

He says that speed cameras have never been considered as ways of making money:
