Kingsmead bought out by Lloyds Black Horse

by isleofman.com 21st June 2006
The local finance house Kingsmead has been taken over by Black Horse, the offshore financing arm of Lloyds TSB.

A short statement on its website thanks customers past and present for their support.

Kingsmead, based in Onchan, billed itself as the Isle of Man's only locally owned and controlled financial house with all the Directors and shareholders residents of the Island.
The company provides finance to individuals and businesses for a wide range of consumer goods.

No details of the deal with Black Horse has been released as yet. It will mean another locally controlled company will go off-Island.
