Mother leaves Tynwald in tears

The mother of a child with learning difficulties left Tynwald court in tears this morning, after being told she couldn't appear at the bar.

Political members voted against hearing from Linda Stokes and other parents of children at the Jurby School Special Unit.

They are unhappy with the Department of Education's decision to close the facility.

Mrs Stokes says she just wanted members to understand the situation better:
