No progress on Queen's Pier

by isleofman.com 22nd June 2006
The future of Queen's Pier in Ramsey is still in question after a debate lasting several hours in Tynwald.

Members voted to receive the report of a select committee which said the pier should be kept.

The Department of Transport will continue to own and maintain the structure.

But four amendments pressing for the refurbishment of the pier were defeated, so it remains for a future government to tackle the issue.
