81 needs to be reduced to 16. That’s the simple statistic for Saturday’s qualifying rounds for the Isle of Man Golf Championship.

A field of 81 will tee-off at Peel and only 16 will be left by late evening for next week’s Matchplay stages.

Castletown’s Paul Lowey is the defending Champ – Manx Radio Golf Correspondent Roy Moore rates his chances of retaining his title:-

Paul Lowey is first out at 7.30 on Saturday morning with Paul McMullan from King Edward Bay and Port St. Mary’s Michael Charmer.
