Queen's pier lifeline

by isleofman.com 22nd June 2006
The Council of Ministers has offered a lifeline to those campaigning to save Queen’s Pier.

After a Tynwald vote rejected taking any action except receiving a report from a select committee examining options for the pier, ministers say they will look again at the issue.

This morning, Chief Minister Donald Gelling announced 'CoMin' will consider options and come back to Tynwald with proposals in February.

Treasury Minister and Ramsey MHK Allan Bell welcomed the decision.
