The Agriculture Minister is defending the decision to cut back grants for farmers to carry out approved improvements to their land and buildings.
Phil Gawne (pictured) says the department was a "victim of its own success" when it came to the Farm and Horticultural Improvement Scheme.
He says the large number of applications indicated DAFF was being over-generous in this instance.
