"Prove it" says Moffatt over Government minimum wage claims.

by isleofman.com 23rd June 2006
Trade Unionist Bernard Moffatt has decried what he terms "stories to frighten the children" over the consequences of substantially increasing the minimum wage.

Mr Moffat wants to see the level upped by close to ?2 an hour, to over ?7.

The Government's argument is that this would drive up costs and lead to job cuts.

Mr Moffat (pictured) says they should produce a reasoned argument to back up their claims. He says its tough for people to have to live on below inflation minimum wage rises.
