Motoring group 'Safer Island Driving', founded earlier this year to oppose DoT plans for a national speed limit, is holding another open meeting tomorrow night (Monday) in Douglas.
The organisation's message is that speed alone is not the cause of many accidents on Manx roads, and that driver education, stricter enforcement of existing laws and raising vehicle and driving standards will provide better results.
SID has already held a meeting with the Department of Transport to discuss a number of member's suggestions, and welcomes anyone interested in motoring matters to enjoy a soft drink with them at the Rovers Return from 7pm.
