Hands wins Parish Walk in record time

The Clerical Medical Parish Walk was won in record time on Saturday by Sean Hands.

The British National Centurion Champion beat Derek Harrison's 1979 benchmark, in a time of 14 hours 47 minutes and 36 seconds.

Robbie Callister also beat the record, finishing in 15 hours, 16 minutes and 3 seconds.

Ray Pitts was third over an hour behind Robbie, and Sue Biggart was fourth- the first lady finisher.

There were a record number of starters, finishers and first timers.
