Lampkin lights up historic title bid

by isleofman.com 27th June 2006
Isle of Man resident Dougie Lampkin has registered his first victory of the World Outdoor Trials Championship season.

He won Round Five in France on Sunday ahead of Japan's Takahisa Fujinami and Spain's Antonio Bou.

Reigning Champion and series leader Adam Raga was down in fourth spot.

Lampkin is still second in the overall standings but has closed the gap on Raga to just 11 points. He is bidding for an eighth title, which would put him one ahead of the legendary Jordi Tarres on the all time list.
