IRIS stench is contractors problem, says Minister

The Transport Minister has found himself under attack in the House of Keys this morning (Tuesday) over 'an appalling stench'.

Phil Braidwood's department has been roundly criticised for the on-going problems of Meary Veg, the treatment of sewage and the spreading of sludge cake on surrounding land.

When challenged about the problems, Mr Braidwood stressed it was up to the contractors to deal with current issues over heat treatment works (audio file attached):
