The inquests of the seven crew who drowned in the Solway Harvester tragedy are finally set to resume.
Provisional dates of September the 27th to the 30th have been allocated.
The men lost their lives when the fishing vessel sank 11 miles off the Island in January 2000.
Although the inquests opened after the Manx government paid ?1m for the fishermen's bodies to be recovered, and the Harvester salvaged from the seabed, they were then adjourned as legal proceedings were ongoing.
Last year, vessel owner Richard Gindey was acquitted of manslaughter of the seven crew and earlier this year the Marine Accident Investigation Branch published its report into the sinking.
There’s been calls for the wreck to be moved or covered up – something that will be determined after the inquests have concluded.
Journalist Mike Mackenzie, says it’s been a distressing time for the fishing community in the Isle of Whithorn.
