Shooting gets underway today (Wednesday) on the Island's latest film venture, futuristic war film Mutant Chronicles, starring John Malkovich.

He'll be joined by Thomas Jane, who was in Boogie Nights, Sean Pertwee who starred in Cold Feet and Ron Perlman, from the film, Hellboy.

Filming is expected to take four weeks.

The crew shooting TV production, 'Ditch the Bitch', is due to arrive on Saturday and will star Inspector Morse's Kevin Whately and Alison Steadman from Pride and Prejudice.
