Braidwood defends actions

by isleofman.com 29th June 2006
Transport Minister Phil Braidwood has spoken out after surviving a vote of no confidence during Monday’s House of Keys sitting.

A report looking into the Cheshire Police investigation into bugging allegations said Mr Braidwood acted outside the Council of Ministers Act – which prevents ministers sharing information discussed in CoMin.

Mr Braidwood (pictured) forwarded a letter to Cheshire Police which was discussed in the Council, without the permission of Chief Minister Donald Gelling.

Manx Radio’s David Callister asked him whether he agreed what he’d done was illegal.
