Knighter to quit World Enduro stage

by isleofman.com 29th June 2006
World Enduro Champion David Knight is to quit the series at the end of this season.

The Manxman will compete in the United States of America during 2007 in the Grand National Cross Country Championship.

David has won every round of the World Enduro Championship so far this season as he defends his title.

He recently had a meeting with KTM's North America Racing Director Kurt Nicoll where a deal to take over Juha Salminen's ride in the GNCC was struck.

Because of his emphasis for 2007 changing to across "the pond", David Knight will not be defending his International Six Day Enduro title later this year. Instead, he is aiming to retain his Endurocross crown in Las Vegas this November.
