Cameras installed at black spots

Think twice before deciding to jump traffic signals.

That’s the message from the Department of Transport which is installing cameras to keep an eye on culprits in Woodbourne Road and York Road in Douglas.

Traffic engineer, Hazel Fletcher, says the cameras will be activated on Monday morning after a series of accidents at the site since 2000, many of which the department believes were caused by impatient motorists.
