Lowey retains title

by isleofman.com 1st July 2006
Paul Lowey has retained his Isle of Man Golf Championship.

However, he had to withstand a brilliant comeback from Castletown clubmate Donal Mulholland.

Lowey led by six holes after the first round and went seven up at the 19th. However, Mulholland then won seven of the next eight to level matters.

The Champion then steadied himself to win the contest four and three.

Paul Lowey was a relieved man at the finish:-
