Learning centre underway

A new multi-purpose facility for people with learning disabilities should be open by next spring.

Contruction work on the Project 21 building is well underway, and the charity was recently boosted by news Tynwald had agreed to donate a portion of land off Greenfield Road in Douglas.

It's costing ?1.5 million to build, and will serve members of 5 different charities for people with disabilities.

Chairman, Geoff Karran, says it's unusual for a project involving more than one charity to be so successful:
