Passenger figures at the airport have shown a close to 3% fall in passenger numbers this June.
But Airport Director Phil Pain points out that it was still the second best June total ever (compared to June 2005 which recorded a 10.8% increase).

At the same time " strenuous efforts" continue to find a replacement freight carrier after Emerald' s withdrawal.

The amount carried is down from 165 tonnes to 15 tonnes (minus 91%)
