Castletown Commissioners have offered their condolences to the family of Caroline Weatherill.
Mrs Weatherill, a senior associate with the law firm Dickinson Cruickshank, passed away last week at the age of 37 - just three days after giving birth to twin girls.
She leaves a husband Lawrence, two young sons and the twins.
At this week’s board meeting, commissioner Alwyn Collister – the board of education member for Castletown and also chairman of the school governors at Victoria Road Primary School where Mrs Weatherill’s sons are pupils – described her as a well-respected parent and member of the school community.
He said she was looking forward immensely to the birth of the twins.
The board is to send a letter of condolence to the Weatherill family.
