Viking Festival finishes

by isleofman.com 11th July 2006
The Peel Viking Festival drew to a close last night (Sun)

The grand finale was held in perfect conditions after bad weather had forced organisers to postpone it from the previous evening.

The closing ceremony featured a Viking battle, a blazing Viking longboat, stage performances and a sound and light show held against the backdrop of Peel Castle.

It's hoped to stage a similar event next year.
