Douglas berths upgrade

by isleofman.com 10th July 2006
There’s good news for sailors using Douglas harbour, with the news the Department of Transport is to press on with improvements to berthing facilities.

The department says after consulting with users and the yacht club, it will start work on phase two of its harbour plans.

This phase will see a different layout to pontoons allowing most berths to accommodate vessels up to twelve metres long.

DoT bosses say they hope the new arrangements will provide regular berths to the fifty boats which are currently on a waiting list.
