The Island’s king of comedy Norman Wisdom is said to be recovering after an operation to fit a pacemaker.
The 91 year old went into hospital on Friday morning after a routine check-up showed he had a weak pulse.
Mr Wisdom flew to Liverpool and underwent the hour-long operation at the city’s Broadgreen Hospital.
He returned to the Island later that evening and is said to be recovering well.
