Lifeboat appeal launched

One of the Isle of Man's best supported charities has launched its annual appeal.

The Ramsey Lifeboat put to sea on Saturday to publicise the ongoing work of the RNLI - and the commitment of the volunteers whose efforts ensure lives continue to be saved.

The former Lieutenant Governor Sir Lawrence New is Patron of the Ramsey Lifeboat.

Having been shipwrecked and rescued as a young man he has huge respect for the work of the charity:
