Tynwald has voted to spend ?5.6 million on a new Animal Waste Processing Plant, despite it being branded a 'Rolls Royce' option.
The facility at Richmond Hill close to the incinerator, will replace the existing plant at Baldwin, which was described by Transport Minister Phil Braidwood as 'past its sell by date'.
Despite the support, MHK's such as Peter Karran expressed mixed feelings about spending the money- he says it should have been built into the incinerator.
