Santon slurry stink

An experienced politician has criticised the Department of Transport's public relations skills.

Referring to the IRIS scheme, Eddie Lowey MLC says people have a right to know when their lives are being blighted by government schemes.

He says many Island residents are suffering due to obnoxious smells caused by the spread of slurry and sludge.

Mr Lowey says the public has been offered assurances before that have turned out to be false, and says it will be hard to believe when a solution is found:
