Sixteen year olds can vote in November

by isleofman.com 12th July 2006
Sixteen year-olds are to be given the vote in November’s General Election.

Tynwald has approved the move this afternoon, provided the individuals are on the electoral register.

In September, registration officers will visit all Island secondary schools to make sure names are on the electoral role.

Polls will also be open from 8am to 8pm on General Election Day – November the 23rd.
