The education minister is denying legal papers served against his department on Tuesday morning influenced the decision to leave the special needs unit at Jurby primary school open until half-term in October.
David Anderson says the papers challenge the way education officials reached the closure decision, which was backed by Tynwald last month.

Michael MHK David Cannan, who has been politically representing the parents of children at the unit, is welcoming the fact it will be open an extra six weeks.
