Tynwald has unanimously received the Select Committee report on the scrutiny and the functions of the Standing Committee on expenditure and public accounts.
All fourteen of the recommendations were also approved
The basic remit of the report was to investigate the most efficient and effective way to create an Auditor General or equivalent entity, taking into account the present systems already in place, and investigate other matters of public expenditure.
The court spent two hours debating the motion which had been moved by Speaker of the House of Keys and Chair of the Committee Tony Brown.
