The Rushen MHK Phil Gawne is calling for an active debate on whether the Isle of Man should reconsider its links with the European Union. .
As Minister for Agriculture, Mr Gawne's suggestion has surprised some - since the Island's relationship with the EU under Protocol 3 has given the Island's farming industry certain protections.
