Former minister responds to health care criticism

Former Health Minister Claire Christian has responded to claims she took a hands-off approach to child care issues while she was in the job.

Tynwald this week received a report on how the findings of the ?2 million child care inquiry could be implemented.

It was set up after the murders of 16 year olds Samantha Barton and George Green in February 2002..

During the Tynwald debate John Houghton MHK claimed Mrs Christian did nothing when he urged her to take action over problems in the care system.
