The climax of the Southern 100 meeting saw Australian Cameron Donald become the first newcomer to win the Solo Championship Race for 30 years.
He was pushed all the way by Guy Martin, but just managed to take the chequered flag at the end of nine laps of exciting racing, with Ian Lougher third.
A breathless Cameron was jubilant at his win:
The last newcomer to achieve Donald's feat was the late Joey Dunlop in 1976.
Tim Poole from Nantwich came off his machine at Cross Four Ways, but is not thought to be badly hurt.
