Minister says apprentices must have jobs to go to

by isleofman.com 14th July 2006
The number of people on apprenticeship schemes must match the number of relevant jobs available, according to Trade and Industry Minister Alex Downie.

He says it's no good training someone for three or four years if there is no work for them at the end of the period.

Mr Downie's comments follow a written Tynwald question from Peel MHK Hazel Hannan.
