Boost for Cricket Festival

by isleofman.com 15th July 2006
The Isle of Man Youth Cricket Festival’s received a boost with the news a team from India will be competing for the second successive year.

The Indian side won the under 13 section last year but it has been confirmed a new Indian side will be competing - this time at under 15 level.

Sponsorship officer for the Isle of Man Cricket Association, Trevor Baker, says one of the benefits from last year’s festival was the effect on the standard of cricket played by the Isle of Man under 15 squad - who went on to win an international tournament in Italy.

The event takes place from August the seventh to the 11th with matches taking place at King William’s College and Cronkbourne in Tromode.
