Island stars to get PR boost

Statues of George Formby and Sir Norman Wisdom in Ridgeway Street, Douglas, are about to get a publicity boost.

Although seemingly safer from vandalism in their present location, some feel they are a little hidden away, especially from tourists.

Council Leader David Christian says it was a letter from one visitor which has prompted the Council to take action (audio file attached):
